Vermont covered bridges in winter
Once the autumn colors are past, I wait eagerly for the first snows to fly. Then I want to go and find some of Vermont’s covered bridges. Not just any covered bridges, since Vermont has quite a few. I’m looking for those that are painted red!
Red covered bridges in winter
The contrast of the bright warm red painted covered bridge with the cold stark snow is a perfect combination. They offset each other and to me, create the perfect winter image. I just need to get some snow on the ground and hire a sleigh with some friends bundled up passing through… Anyone have a sleigh? 🙂
Not all covered bridges are red?
Needless to say, not all covered bridges are painted red. Well, I don’t just look for red covered bridges, I’ll point my camera at any covered bridges… Â It’s just that most don’t compare when covered with snow with a red one.
What are your thoughts?
