A Beautiful 2022 Fall Foliage Season

As always, I start traveling in September to see how the New England fall colors are developing. The image below was taken on 29 September, and even though I was thinking the fall colors would develop earlier, they were in line with past years as far as their arrival.

Beaver Brook Waterfall, New Hampshire

The Beaver Brook Waterfall is North of Colebrook, New Hampshire. But you can find this multi-drop cascade at the roadside. There are no trails to traverse to see this waterfall. The overall drop is 80 feet, and you can take a stroll along the wooden walkway from the grass, across the stream to the base of the Waterfall.

But the fall colors were not uniformly present in Northern New England. Over in Vermont at Joe’s Pond, it was a different story.

Joes Pond, Vermont

Joe’s pond can be found at the meeting of Routes 15 and Route 2 just west of Danville, Vermont.

Most spots to view Joe’s Pond are from the shore, and I chose this day to take my drone above the pond and see some of the early fall colors from above. I hope you enjoyed my work this fall. Click the links below to view more of my artwork from around New England.
